New Resources


Connections (on the UHI Library Web pages Databases A-Z list) have been made to the following resources:

Emerald Management Extra (Full Text); Index to Theses; ICE - Institute of Civil Engineers - Virtual Library.

Information For Refworks Users


The following information needs to be disseminated to all users of RefWorks.
In using RefWorks via the Gateway, a new account is created. Any information held under the old account is unobtainable through this new account. However, the references held in the old account can be migrated to the new one.

The user needs to do the following:

1.Log into RefWorks using your old Athens account (if it has been deleted ask your librarian to recreate it with the old user name and password).

2. In RefWorks, go to References - Backup/Restore - Perform Backup - Click here to save your backup file.

3. You will be prompted for a place to save your file. Save it to wherever you choose.

4. Log into RefWorks with your new Novell / College account.

5. Go to References - Backup/Restore - make sure the Restore radio button is highlighted - Browse for your file - Click the Restore button.

This should import the references into the new account.
